EAFC / EASC Membership

The Edinburgh Academical Sports Centre has recently reviewed and brought up-to-date it's Equal Opportunity Policy. This policy will be applied by all the different clubs that belong to the Sports Centre including rugby.

The Edinburgh Academical Football Club, the oldest Rugby Club in Scotland, welcomes new players of all levels and new social members into the Club. Accies regularly turn out 5 teams on a Saturday, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and BATS Development Team playing in their respective leagues, and a 4th XV playing social rugby. Our hugely experienced coaching team of Ian Barnes (Scotland), Jim Renwick (Scotland & British Lions), Tom Philips (Scotland) assisted by Finlay Calder (Scotland and British Lions captain) and the Fitness Coach Neil Mackenzie, take training at Raeburn Place on a Tuesday and Thursday at 6.45pm. We also have a weights room at Raeburn Place that is available to members any time, so why not come along and meet the team one evening.

The social scene at Raeburn Place has one of the best reputations in town, with regular events being held in the clubhouse throughout the season. Overseas tours in recent seasons included one to Biella in Italy. Thanks to our association with Festival Inns, our members enjoy privileges at some of the best nightspots in Edinburgh including the Three Sisters, Beluga and Faith.

Membership also currently offers the opportunity to purchase international tickets (for home and away), and free use of the clubhouse for private functions (subject to availability).
