This weekend

This week the 1XV get down to Premier B business, after missing the first game, with the most difficult of trips to Mansfield Park, ko 2pm.

Earlier this season Accies beat Hawick 25-0 at Raeburn Place, but Accies know Hawick have a new coach and have improved since then. They have had a full fixture list over the last two months and beaten a number of Border teams in the Cup or Border League. In their first Premier B game they drew with StewMel 10-10.

Accies have a couple of changes to the team this week, with Alex Cowan breaking his hand and Tom Drennan coming back. Simon Cross said - "We have selected an exciting blend of youth and experience, tough enough to head to Mansfield to win and youthful enough to continue playing with ambition and pace".

Accies team to play Hawick is - Jamie Sole; Sam Atkin, Ross Browne, Iain Berthinussen, Jake Knight; Ruairidh Bonner, Jonny Adams; Duncan MacLeod, Mike Liness, Kenny Blyth, Greg Campbell, Angus Graham, Dan Teague, James Taggert, Tom Drennan.

Replacements - Chris Murray, Scott Jeffers, Tom Stuart, Euan Bonner.

Accies 2XV make the short journey to Myerside to play old rivals Watsons 2nds, ko 2pm.

The 2XV came back disappointed from Glasgow last week after losing to Hawks, their fifth loss of the season, which still leaves them fifth in the league, having won 10 out of 16, but only three points behind third.

Watsons - who Accies beat 53-13 earlier in the season - have had a poor season by their standards. They lie next to the bottom having won two out of 16. After last week's loss Accies know they can take nothing for granted and will have to be on top form to take maximum points from Watsons.

The U20s will play Peebles 2 at Raeburn Place, ko 2pm. The U20s are finding this league hard going and have only won four out of 11. The useful Border 2XV teams are dominating this league, and though Peebles 2 are the lowest of them they have won six from 11 and beat the U20s by 42-21 earlier this season.
