Sunday 28 February

The past week saw limited rugby due to the schools’ February breaks. However, there was no let up for the BATs’ U15/16s, who were training on Sunday. There was a good turn out for the session, with great commitment from those involved.

Wednesday evening training resumes this week, plus the U16s have a training session and home fixture on Sunday.

Obviously the February break impacted our school delivery too, with a week off for everyone. However, we are back in full swing this week with a full delivery programme, including across the primary school sector.

Trinity Academy School of Rugby: The school of rugby is back in action this week. Pupils should check their timetables to find out when their sessions are.

Saturday should see fixtures for Trinity Academy against Dunbar, but these are still to be finally confirmed.

Primary School Delivery: This week, Gregor, our Modern Apprentice, will be delivering rugby in class time for a mixture of classes and year groups across north Edinburgh’s primary schools.

After School Clubs: Broughton Primary School after school club finally managed to get a session in just before the break, after several weeks of cancelled sessions due to the weather. There was a great turn out, with a good number of boys and girls keen to get involved. The after school sessions at Trinity, Wardie and Broughton Primary Schools are all on this week and we will be focusing on improving skills and game play.

Don't forget this year's Easter Camp will run from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 March and will be open from 10.00-15.30 on each day. The camp is open to ALL children aged 5-15 - previous experience of playing rugby is not necessary.
