CLUB RUGBY

Last week’s training sessions were very well attended, which allowed the coaches to run some fantastic sessions.

On Sunday Callum and Gregor attended the National Minis’ Conference at Heriot Watt University. This was a great event with some amazing guest speakers. Callum and Gregor came back with some good ideas to incorporate into BATs’ planning.

Also on Sunday, BATs U15/16 were meant to be training with North Berwick prior to a game. Unfortunately we had a late call off from North Berwick as they could not raise a side but the session was put to good use anyway, with a full training session over at Broughton High School.

SCHOOLS' RUGBY

Last week saw us get back onto the grass pitches and into all the schools. We have been very busy n the primary schools with Gregor going into Trinity Primary on a Monday and delivering 5 sessions to different classes and age groups looking at their basic movement and spatial awareness.

Trinity Academy School of Rugby: The school of rugby focused on handling under pressure and looking at or running lines off the ball. The results of Saturday’s fixtures were: U18s lost 5-45 to Dunbar; U16s/S3 beat Portobello 42-24; and S1/S2 also beat Portobello, 52-23.

Primary School Delivery: We have been very busy in the primary schools with Gregor going into Trinity Primary on a Monday to deliver five sessions to different classes and age groups, looking at their basic movement and spatial awareness.

After School Clubs: Our after school sessions are all in action this week. We will be looking at movement into space and how to create it.
