CLUB

Our Wednesday evening summer training sessions continue and have been going really well. Numbers have fluctuated a bit due to holidays but on the whole the sessions, which are taken by Mark and James, have been well attended. The touch sessions, which are open to any current P7s up to U18s who want to play some mixed-aged touch and work on their handling skills, are designed to keep players active over the summer and to help with the transition in age groups for those moving up to high school.

Back to Raeburn Day – Sunday 21 August

On Sunday 21 August BATs is jointly hosting a Back to Raeburn Day along with EAFC and Edinburgh Accies Minis. There will be age-group touch games, as well as taster sessions for those wanting to give rugby a go. Food and drink will be available to buy. We are also hoping Trust Rugby International will be able to join us to demonstrate mixed-ability rugby.

It would be great to have as many BATs players and parents down at Raeburn Place on the day so please put the date in your diaries now.

BATs’ Summer Camp – 8-10 August

Don’t forget to book your place(s) for the BATs’ Summer Rugby Camp.

SCHOOLS

Trinity Academy:

It is now just five days until Trinity Academy’s touring party leaves for South Africa, accompanied by BATs’ DO, Iain Berthinussen and assistant DO, Callum Black, who have been helping with pre-tour training.

The tour will be a great experience for players, coaches and teachers alike, and we wish everyone going the very best.
