Back to Raeburn Day
Sunday 21 August, 11am-3pm
To mark the start of the new rugby season, Raeburn Place will be open to all players, parents, volunteers and members of the local community on Sunday 21 August from 11am, when the ground hosts a Back to Raeburn Day.
The day will start with mini rugby coaching – the usual Sunday morning activity at Raeburn Place – and then move on to various games and activities involving all users of Raeburn Place.
BATs’ Development Officers, Iain Berthinussen and Callum Black, ably assisted by some of EAFC’s 1st XV, will be joining the youngsters to run some fun training drills and touch rugby games. These will be open to all ages and may even give the parents a chance to show off their skills.
We will also be joined by members of Trust Rugby International (TRI) whose Edinburgh Clan use Raeburn Place as their home ground. TRI play mixed-ability contact rugby and there will be a chance to learn more about this, and how you can get involved, on Sunday.
Other attractions on the day include:
- Autograph signing session with special guests, who will also join in the touch rugby games.
- Raffle – with the chance to win a rare, signed Scotland jersey from the 2015 World Cup
- Bouncy castle
- Tuck shop
- Home baking
- Hot dogs
- Bar from 12.30pm
Altogether, a full family day out at Raeburn Place this Sunday.
Please join us as we welcome ALL users of Raeburn Place, be they members of Accies’ Minis, BATs, EAFC, TRI or the local community, for the 2016/17 season.
