Mini Rugby News - North Berwick Tournament Report & Coaching

Report from the North Berwick Minis Tournament, Sunday 11 September

A strong set of performances across the board in this round robin event.

P7: Won their first four matches and then drew 2-all in the final game with Musselburgh, who were also unbeaten going into the final game with four wins. The two teams could not be separated on tries scored (20 a piece).

However, on tries conceded Musselburgh had four to BATs' five, resulting in BATs being runners-up by the narrowest of margins. A great performance and the P7 boys should be really proud of themselves.

P6: Convincingly won four out of their five matches and only lost 4-2 to a very strong and expansive Watsons team, which resulted in them finishing as runners-up.

P5: Secured three wins and a draw and lost only one match to a physical and direct North Berwick A team.

P4: Won three matches but narrow losses to eventual winners Haddington and Watsonians kept P4 off the top. There were good performances across the team in attack and in defense, with strong tackling in their first tournament with full contact tackling allowed.

P3: Won all six of their matches in their first outing. A great start to their competitive rugby.
