Rugby is now back in full swing and the club has kicked off the year with good numbers attending the first training sessions and games at both S1 and S2 level. With the new training time for the S1s (Thursday, 17:00- 18:30) and the start of BATs U16s and U18s training on Wednesday nights, BATs rugby is looking healthy. The S1s and S2s had really competitive fixtures at the weekend against strong Boroughmuir sides.

School of Rugby at Trinity Academy:

We are back into our program across all age groups, with the main focus on strength and conditioning. We are looking at body management with S1 to S3 and developing circuits with S4 and above.

Trinity Academy have not had any fixtures for a while, due to a combination of poor weather and the festive break. However, across all age groups, the players have come back from the break in good spirits and have trained really well ahead of their games against Portobello this weekend.

Broughton High School:

Girls rugby is currently at the forefront of our work at Broughton High School, delivering to numerous girls’ classed with the help of Sula Callender (women’s rugby MA).

The new School of Rugby is back up and running, although this week’s after-school club was unfortunately cancelled due to the snow. Everyone is training hard in preparation for the school’s next U14 competition organised by Edinburgh Rugby.
