Unfortunately this week’s Wednesday night session had to be cancelled as the pitches were frozen. This was a real shame as our regular attendees have been making real improvements.

S1s: The S1s hosted a very successful and enjoyable visit from Ponteland on Sunday. You can read the full match report here.

Primary Schools: We have had another great week of primary school delivery, with our lunch club at Broughton Primary retaining a strong mix of boys and girls. Our recent block of sessions at Trinity Primary has helped to increase the numbers at their after-school club, allowing more games to be played.

Trinity Academy: The School of Rugby is taking a slightly alternative route towards Christmas, with the players training in the school fitness suite using a body-weight circuit, as well as working on core co-ordination and reactions to different stimuli. Unfortunately last Saturday’s matches were cancelled due to the weather.

Broughton High School: This week saw the start of new sessions to a different group of S2s and a group of S1s at Broughton High School. Both of these groups have been exposed to very little rugby before the sessions and it is gratifying to see them take the bull by the horns and show great effort and enthusiasm.
