Match Preview NL11: Aberdeen v Accies

Saturday 3 December, Rubislaw, 2pm

It is four weeks since our last league game and we now go straight into a series of three crunch matches before the Christmas break, starting with the long journey to Aberdeen this Saturday. Although we have won our last two encounters at Rubislaw, they were narrow wins that we only just secured. So, despite our relative league positions - us narrowly top; Aberdeen sitting fourth from the bottom - we know this will be a tough match for us and one we cannot afford to lose at this stage in the season.

Coach's Comments

"The Club is delighted to see Ben Appleson and Shaun Gunn start after impressing for the Scotland U19s and Age-Grade U20 programmes over the past three weeks. Will Stephen returns to 10 alongside Jack Forrester in the 12 jersey and we are delighted to welcome Paul Loudon back to first team action from the bench. In the pack, Greg Campbell returns after injury, Ronan Seydak replaces the injured Sam Gibson and Connor Weetman gets his first league start at hooker.

"Aberdeen away is always a massive test. We have only just come away with narrow victories on our past two visits. However, our players have worked hard on improvement throughout the November ‘rest period’ and we look forward to seeing this group take to the field with no illusions about how tough this game will be. As always, if we stick to our DNA and continue to work hard for each other, the score will take care of itself."
