Match Preview Cup QF: Accies v Jed-Forest

Saturday 25 January
1st XV v Jed-Forest, RP, 13:30 - Scottish Cup QF
Please note the earlier kick-off as this is a Cup match and so allowance has to be made in case of a draw, in which case extra time will be played.

Matchday logistics
Access to Raeburn Place is via the car park entrance at the bottom of Portgower Place. As the car park is in use by the contractor, unfortunately there is NO parking for players or spectators.

As this is a Cup game, match entry for everyone over 18 is £10 full price and £5 for concessions (with valid student or 60+ ID).

We would advise spectators to wear wellies or walking boots, as the ground is still rather muddy.

Post-match hospitality is at Dean Bowling Club - click here for directions.

Coach's comments
"Saturday presents an opportunity to get into a cup semi-final and this is something that excites the group. However, Jed-Forest have shown in the last couple of weeks that when they put a performance together, they can be really dangerous, and we expect them to bring that on Saturday.

"I am looking forward to the reaction from our players following a good week's training after what was a disappointing performance down at Mansfield last weekend.

"Ben Appleson returns to the starting line-up for the first time since October and Richard Mill slots in at inside centre, with Robert Wilson and Callum Ramm moving to the wings. Mark Sinclair starts at scrum half and young Ben Grainger keeps his place on the bench.

"Ross Gregor gets a start at hooker after impressing for the 2nd XV last weekend and Clement Lacour comes in at tighthead to add some leadership. Angus Inwood and Monty Cairnes return to the bench after long term injury layoffs."

1st XV v Jed-Forest

2nd XV v Jed-Forest 2nd XV - CANCELLED
Unfortunately for the 2nd XV, Jed are unable to raise a team, so they have conceded this fixture.

3rd XV v Lasswade 2nd XV, Inverleith Park, 14:00
After what seems like a considerable time, the 3rd XV take to the field (in Inverleith Park) tomorrow, where they will face Lasswade 2nd XV. Lasswade will be a challenging side, but we have a strong squad out and at the very least it will be entertaining.

Onwards & upwards!
