Match Preview Prem2: Stirling County v Accies

Saturday 8 September
1st XV v Stirling County, Bridgehaugh, 15:00

Following last week's good performance against Ayr, we will travel to Stirling expecting a hard fought and, we hope, exciting encounter. Although Stirling won our game against them in the Cup last season, we won the second half and showed we are definitely a match for them.

They have one league point, following a 14-20 loss away to Watsonians last week, and will be keen to secure a victory in their first home game of the campaign. We will work hard to disappoint them and get some points of our own on the board.

You can read Captain Jamie Sole's thoughts about tomorrow's game, last week's encounter with Ayr and the rest of the season in an interview with him in The Offside Line.

Our senior team this week:
Just one change to the squad this week, with Angus Inwood coming onto the bench.

2nd XV v Selkirk A, RP, 15:00

Following a convincing 59-0 win against Boroughmuir at Meggetland last weekend, the 2s are looking forward to welcoming Selkirk to Raeburn Place tomorrow. It will be Selkirk's first game of the season.

3rd XV v Thebans, RP, 15:00

The 3s are also at home this week and are no doubt looking forward to playing a league fixture, after Ross High conceding the game last week. Despite this, we are sitting top of the table, having been granted a 28-0 'victory'. The intention this week will be to earn another five league points, but this time on the field. No doubt their close fought 29-27 win in a friendly against Lasswade will stand them in good stead to face Thebans, who launch their league campaign this week, having had no fixture last Saturday.

Onwards and upwards!
