Match Preview Prem 11: Accies v Musselburgh

Saturday 7 December
1st XV v Musselburgh, New Field, 14:00
Following the unexpected break last week, we are hoping for more conducive weather this weekend. The game is scheduled to be played at New Field, but if the weather is poor, please check the website or social media on Saturday morning for any changes.

This will be our third match against Musselburgh this season - so far we have been the victors, but the second game was much closer than the first and gave our supporters a nervous time as Musselburgh's young backs threatened to turn the tables on us. We expect them to attempt the same thing this week.

Coach's comments
"We are excited for our home game against Musselburgh this weekend, with both teams looking for a win after last weekend’s rest due to Jack Frost.

"Patrick O’Sullivan is away in Dubai, so Declan Dinnen comes back into the starting team, with Ted Jones taking his place on the bench. Robbie Simpson and Cole Lamberton are in the Scotland U19 squad for the game against Wales this Sunday, so Cole Imrie starts, with Kevin Jenkins and Clement Lacour coming onto the bench."

1st XV v Musselburgh

2nd XV v Musselburgh 2nd XV, Raeburn Place, 14:00
The 2nd XV also play Musselburgh this week, changing in Inverleith Park and playing at Raeburn Place. The last time the two sides met, Musselburgh won the high-scoring encounter 53-36. However, they are only two places and three league points ahead of us and we have a game in hand. With call-ups to the U19s, injuries and unavailability, several of the 2s are on duty for the 1st XV this week, which may have an impact, but we know the mighty twaes will give it their all.

There is no 3rd XV fixture this week, but the entertainers will be back in action against Peebles A next week.

Onwards & upwards!
