Saturday 14 March
1st XV v Currie Chieftains 1st XV, RP, 12:30
Mathematically it is still possibe for us to avoid relegation. Glasgow Hawks' win against us last week puts them five points clear of us, which leaves us needing six points from two matches, assuming Hawks gain no more points this season. They only have one game left - a fixture against Hawick a week on Saturday.

You can be sure our squad will throw their hearts and souls into tomorrow's game against Currie Chieftains. A large Accies' support would make a massive difference to them - please come down and get behind the team in this crucial match.

1st XV match day logistics
NB early kick-off to accomodate those wanting to watch the Scotland game, which kicks off at 14:15 and will be available to watch at Dean Bowling Club, although we will need to vacate the premises as soon as that match finishes due to another event.

Access to Raeburn Place is via the car park entrance at the bottom of Portgower Place. As the car park is in use by the contractor, unfortunately there is NO parking for players or spectators.

Match entry for anyone who is not a full member is £10 full price and £5 for concessions (with valid student or 60+ ID). Members, please remember to show your membership card at the gate.

Post-match hospitality is at Dean Bowling Club - click here for directions.

Coach's comments
"Monty Cairnes moves to outside centre, in place of the injured Ruari Campbell, and Robert Wilson takes his place on the wing.  Mark Sinclair and Max Love change places, as do David Anderson and Clement Lacour. Ted Jones comes in at 6, Declan Dinnen moves to the second row and James Pearse gets his first start of the season at number 8. Young Josef Didomenico comes onto the bench after impressing for the 2nd XV.

"This is our penultimate league game of the season; one final chance and we are looking forward to it."

1st XV v Currie Chieftains

2nd XV v Currie 2nd XV, Inverleith Park, 12:30
Currie do not have sufficient numbers to field a 2nd team so they have conceded the league fixture to us. However, we are able to play a friendly against them, so the lads will at least get some rugby.

There is no 3rd XV fixture this week.

Onwards & upwards!
