Match Preview Prem 4: GHA v Accies

Saturday 28 September
1st XV v GHA, Braidholm, 15:00
Last week's game against Musselburgh was highly enjoyable to watch, with perfect weather conditions resulting in a total of ten tries (plus a penalty try) and some exciting, end-to-end running rugby. In contrast, our last match away to GHA was a mud bath played out in driving rain. We won that encounter 24-12 and our last game against them, which was at Raeburn Place in December 2017, ended 29-7 to us. However, we have seen a lot of changes since then. GHA have not won a game yet this season but they scored four tries against top of the table Marr last week, which will have given them heart ahead of Saturday's home fixture. They will be looking to build on that this week and secure their first scalp. We will have to stay focused not to succumb. At least the current weather forecast looks favourable, so we should not be swimming in mud!

Coach's comments
"We have a few changes to the squad this week due to player injury and unavailability. We are excited to see David Anderson, Robbie Simpson and Ross McConnell come into the squad for the first time this season."

1st XV v GHA

2nd XV v Heriot's Blues 2nd XV, Goldenacre, 15:00
The 2s will be keen to get back to winning ways this Saturday, but Heriot's are certainly one of the teams you would expect to be in contention for the league title so this will be no picnic at Goldenacre.

3rd XV v Dundee 2nd XV - CANCELLED
Fixture update - unfortuantely Dundee were unable to raise a team, so this fixture has been cancelled. The game will be recorded as 28-0 win for us.

Onwards & upwards!
