Match Preview Prem11: Accies v Stirling County

Saturday 17 November
1st XV v Stirling County, RP, 13:30
Please note both the earlier 13:30 kick-off for this game and that a minute silence will be observed before the match.

Coach's Comments
"Badenhorst returns this week to add some teeth to the pack. With Cammy Taylor starting in place of the injured Cole Imrie, Duncan Morrison comes onto the bench as cover. Harry Paterson, a 17-year-old with an impressive skillset, comes in to add some X-Factor to our back three, in place of Neil Armstrong who was injured playing for The Waterboys. This means a further reshuffle in the backline, allowing Bobby Wilson to make his first appearance in this year’s campaign.

I am looking forward to welcoming Stirling to Raeburn Place. We feel we left a lot out at Bridgehaugh at the start of the season, so we are hoping to make amends at home. I am impressed by the amount of energy County have to relentlessly get off the line in defence and prevent you from getting quality ball in your set piece or on the floor, so we know we will have our work cut out."

1st XV v Stirling County

2nd XV v Boroughmuir 3rd XV, RP, 13:30
The 2s are also at home this week and will observe the minute silence before their game against Boroughmuir 3s. With Currie having played, and won, their game in hand last weekend, we are now sitting second in the league, four points adrift, so a win tomorrow is important for our league campaign. On paper, we look the stronger team, but we all now how often rugby can surprise us.

Onwards & upwards!
