Match Summary Prem 7: Selkirk v Accies

Results, Saturday 9 November
1st XV 26-24 Selkirk
2nd XV 23-21 Selkirk

Selkirk 1st XV 24-26 Accies 1st XV
This game did not start well for us, with Captain Jamie Sole sin-binned in the first five minutes by the Spanish referee and Selkirk going 12-0 up relatively quickly. However, the team fought back and Sean Crombie's try, converted by Jamie Loomes, took us into the break with just a five-point deficit (12-7).

We then dominated the majority of the second half, with three tries taking the score to 12-26. Jamie Sole then came off limping and Selkirk were back in the game, with two more tries of their own and only Jamie Loomes' better conversion rate keeping us ahead, 24-26. The dying moments of the game were nail-biting in the extreme - Selkirk were awarded a penalty, which they opted to kick... and missed. The final whistle went and we had secured a hard-fought bonus-point win.
