Work Experience with BATs

Social Media Co-ordinator Required for BATs

About the Role
It is important and imperative that we communicate effectively and appropriately with players, parents, teachers, coaches, funders and other stakeholders. Social media is critical in this and we want to develop an approach that delivers the key and critical messages to the audiences that need and want them to ensure we can retain our current players and supporters and attract new ones.

Person Specification

  • Skilled in using a variety of Social Media Platforms and web packages.
  • Enthusiastic about sport with a knowledge of rugby.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including local community, supporters, players and families.

What will be expected for the role?
The role will involve regular updating of the website, twitter feeds, Facebook posts, Instagram posts etc plus ensuring tagging and linking with other key social media sites and feeds such as Scottish Rugby, press and local partners. We also want to analyse and review our activity for engagement and impact.

What will the expected time commitment be?
It is anticipated that this role will be a commitment of up to 3-5 hours per week averaged out over the season.

Will I be remunerated for the role?
This is a voluntary role, however BATs Rugby will pay a contribution of £1200 for the season in recognition of your commitment to the role and to cover expenses such as travel.
