Job Description
The Place is a café and bar in the heart of Stockbridge catering for both the general public and a large membership base. We also cater for events and functions, including canapes and sit down meals. We are looking to expand our kitchen staff to offer a more complete food offering going forward. Wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to join a high volume kitchen and assist the Head Chef with the day to day running.
The right candidate:
The right candidates should have experience in dealing with events and functions from 100 people upwards.
Able to multi-manage events and catering as well as a working kitchen.
Proven experience in kitchen as a chef.
Be able to work to strict deadlines to ensure food is going out to customers on time.
Display a record of upkeeping strict health and safety procedures.
Job Duties:
Managing the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
Ordering and maintaining of stock levels.
Preparing menu items quickly and efficiently while adhering to sanitary regulations.
Produce food at the level maintained by the head chef.
Maintain a clean and hygienic work station, adhering to health and safety standards.
Direct the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen and equipment.
Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
