Raeburn Place After School Club

Edinburgh Accies have partnered with the Raeburn Place Foundation to bring a fun and safe opportunity for boys and girls of all abilities to get more active after school with Raeburn Place After School Club. The club is open to Accies members and non-members alike and sessions are managed by professional staff and coaches who all have experience in sport and working with children.

The after school club is based at the Edinburgh Accies clubhouse at Raeburn Place and will run every Tuesday afternoon during term time from 3.30pm until 5.30pm. It is open to P4-P7 school pupils and we offer collection direct from school for Flora Stevenson Primary and Stockbridge Primary.

Each session will include a mixture of supervised free play on the enclosed playing field, indoor activities and a 60-minute organised group session delivered by our coaching team or guest coaches across a variety of sports and activities. Rugby values and skills will make up the core of the programme but sessions will always cater to the age, stage and interest of the group - rugby is renowned for being accessible to anyone but there will always be plenty to do if children opt-out of any given session!

Summer Term Dates 2026:

  • 21 Apr, 28 Apr, 12 May, 19 May, 26 May, 2 Jun, 9 Jun, 16 Jun, 23 Jun

Frequently Asked Questions?

  • Children can be dropped off from 3.30pm and parents/guardians are asked to collect their children before 5.30pm.

Flora Stevenson and Stockbridge Primary pupils can opt-in to collection direct from school when registering.

  • We ask children to bring a snack to eat on arrival and a water bottle to stay hydrated during the club.

Club sessions will be planned assuming kids wear normal school clothing however we’d encourage children to bring clothing to suit the weather, football boots (for playing fields) and any other items deemed necessary by parents/guardians.

Mouthguards - Any child wishing to participate in contact sessions should bring a mouthguard. All sessions will cater for children who do not bring a mouthguard or do not wish to participate in contact.

  • We plan to make use of our playing fields for all sessions and participants should be prepared accordingly. If pitches are deemed unplayable or the severe weather makes it unsafe for children to participate, then appropriate activities will be arranged inside the clubhouse.

  • Parents/guardians should ensure that we are made aware of any medical conditions or special requirements prior to the start of each block or session. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child takes any necessary medication for each session.

  • If you have any further questions then please just e-mail the team at community@edinburghaccies.com and we will respond as soon as possible.
