Kick start your season at Accies!

Edinburgh Accies Kickstarter Sessions is a block Wednesday night session at the end of Summer intended to give our youth players a early introduction into some of the new rules and techniques they will be developing in the season ahead. The sessions will be led by our professional coaches with our voluntary year group coaches assisting and will be open to Accies players only.

The sessions will take place on the evenings 22 Jul, 29 Jul, 12 Aug and 19 Aug (no session on the 5th Aug) and will be 1-hour sessions in year groups (based on upcoming academic year) – please note timing below.

  • 5-6pm - P4/5

  • 6-7pm - P6/7

  • 7-8pm – S1+

We are planning for 20 players per session at the moment but we’ll extend with demand - please join the waiting list if your age-group appears as out of stock and we can notify as space becomes available.

To reserve your space, please select the year group of your child below, then add to cart and complete the booking form - you should repeat this step for each different child in your booking, even if they are in the same year group. Once completed for all children, please ensure you go to the checkout and complete payment. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once completed successfully.

Facilities & Camp Structure - Our camps are based at Raeburn Place with all coaching outdoors on the playing fields. Coaching sessions will total 4-5 hours each day, split over 4 sessions. The sessions will be tailored to year groups and cover the key skills of rugby and promoting our club values of respect, teamwork, passion and enjoyment. Players can relax and socialise in our clubhouse during breaks with morning and afternoon snacks provided.

Coaching & Safety - All of our coaches have experience in coaching rugby and working with children and we ensure that enhanced disclosures (via The PVG scheme) are processed for all our coaches. There will always be a first aider on hand at every camp.

Camp T-shirts & Gifts - All t-shirts and gifts are subject to the number of days players attend camp and the overall level of funding we generate from camp partners and the Accies community.

Lunches - Lunch is provided for all players so please ensure dietary requirements are added during booking. We’ll provide a menu plan in the lead up to the camp.
